Your Guide to the Top Christmas Decor Trends of 2025
The Christmas stock has hit the shelves.
Our designs are confirmed and in the process of being made.
And the sleigh is officially on the road for the first of the 2025 Christmas installations.
Christmas has arrived.
As brands, retailers, restaurants and event spaces prepare for the busiest time of year, the focus is shifting towards decor that feels fresh, emotionally resonant (have you seen the John Lewis advert?!) and immersive.
As professional decorators and festive enthusiasts, we’ve been keeping our eyes on the themes dominating briefs and creative conversations across industries.
Here are the top five Christmas trends shaping 2025, and how you can bring them into your own space this year.
1) Big, giant, huge… bows.
Bows were a big thing in 2024, but they are back bigger and better than ever in 2025.
Think cascading and trailing tails, ribbon-wrapped entrances and impressive velvet bow features in every corner. This trend taps into the visual aspect of gifting too, isn’t it lovely?
Whether we’re decorating a shopping centre, an office party or an outdoor Christmas Fair, big bows offer maximum impact with simplistic looks. Our favourites have to be our giant velvet ones this year!
2) Natural Wood and Mindful Minimalism
After years upon years of glitter-heavy décor, many businesses (and even homes) are gravitating towards a calmer, more grounded Christmas aesthetic.
Natural wood, raw textures, and Scandi-inspired looks are shaping a more thoughtful festive environment. Expect wooden tree structures, pine cones, natural garlands and soft lighting from us, creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere, perfect for brands that promote sustainability, wellness or grounding in their messaging.
For 2025, this earthy minimalism deepens further with amber, caramel and brown autumnal tones, extending the season from October through December. These cosy hues pair beautifully with timber elements and foliage-led installations, offering a sense of warmth in slow, intentional celebrations.
3) Handmade Nostalgia and Millennial Childhoods
Millennials are driving a huge revival of handcrafted, nostalgic Christmas decor.
It’s a warm, retro-tinged return to felt decorations, paperchains obnoxious coloured lights and even crocheted garlands.
This trend isn’t about minimalism; it’s about emotional resonance and the charming imperfectness of simple crafts.
4) Colourful Stripes and Maximalism
Checkerboard had its moment, then so did wiggly lines and now stripes.
Big, bold, joyful stripes. And they’re taking over!
Christmas 2025 is all about pattern-driven maximalism with a sweet-shop colour palette. Be ready for wide band stripes of colour on plinths, wrapping paper facades and oversized baubles.
This trend brings high energy and excitement, whilst being perfect for businesses that want eye-catching, shareable installations that photograph well.
5) Pink, Silver and 50s Kitsch
The ‘50s are back with a sugary twist.
Hot pink paired with soft blush, silver foil fringing, stars and tinsel textures are making a comeback. This trend delivers pure fun; cute and unapologetically kitsch!
From pink/chrome props to shimmering silver backdrops, this trend is an INSTANT mood booster and a stand out choice for shops and retail this Christmas.
