Dior “Atelier of Dreams” Christmas Launch

Luxury Event Styling and Design

A few years ago, we were lucky enough to have Dior commission us to design and deliver a luxury event environment for their “Atelier of Dreams” Christmas staff launch. The event celebrated their retail teams while introducing the new seasonal product ranges.

Our challenge was to transform a neutral venue into a setting that captured the magic, opulence, and elegance of Dior’s global Christmas campaign, while ensuring it remained functional for a seated, interactive experience.

The Brief and Creative Challenge

Dior’s Christmas advertising campaign featured an abundant tablescape, filled with candlelight, golden tones, crystals and rich textures.

The brief was to replicate the atmosphere of the campaign within a real-world event space, creating an immersive experience that reflected Dior’s luxury aesthetic and festive storytelling.

However, two challenges stood out:

1) Balancing luxury with functionality

The table design needed to maintain opulence without compromising comfort or functionality for guests.

2) Flameless venue restrictions

The chosen location didn’t allow open flames, requiring battery-operated taper candles that looked as authentic as possible.

Design Solution

Our design team created a luxury tablescape inspired directly by Dior’s Atelier of Dreams imagery, reimagined for a live event environment.

The design included:

A curated mix of high-quality flameless candles that mimicked the flicker and warmth of real candlelight.

  • Vintage silver and brass candelabras, sourced through specialist antique suppliers, to introduce height and sculptural interest.

  • Gold leaf garlands, crystal details, and grape clusters to mirror the richness of Dior’s campaign visuals.

  • A neutral and metallic palette that complemented Dior’s refined brand tones and seasonal product presentation.

Every element was considered to balance aesthetic beauty with practical use, ensuring the space was visually striking yet functional for service and guest movement.

The Installation

Drawing on our abundance of experience in luxury event design and brand-led styling, our team enjoyed sourcing and securing authentic vintage pieces that reflected Dior’s timeless elegance.

We tested multiple flameless candle options to achieve the most realistic light quality and ambience. The final layout was carefully planned to deliver consistent visual impact from every angle, aligning perfectly with Dior’s visual identity and campaign art direction.

This attention to detail allowed us to turn a cinematic concept into live environment that felt authentic to the brand (and super cosy!).

Results

The event received exceptional feedback from the Dior team. The tablescape successfully captured the atmosphere of the Atelier of Dreams campaign while providing a comfortable, functional experience for guests.

Guests described the setting as “magical,” “elegant,” and “unmistakably Dior.” The design elevated the brand’s internal celebration into an luxury experience that reflected Dior’s attention to detail.
